Craftadian Hamilton Christmas Market
Ready to get all your Christmas shopping done? Be sure to head down to the Craftadian Hamilton Christmas Market on Saturday, December 7th at the McMaster Innovation Park. You can browse 80 plus artisans, artists, and designers featuring their best work and handmade goods. There’s something for everyone’s stocking so be sure to make your way down for this one day only event, starting at 10 am and finishing at 4 pm. For only $5 dollars entry for adults and kids over 16, you can’t go wrong.
The Nutcracker
On Saturday, December 7th at 2 pm, the Christmas classic, the Nutcracker is heading to the First Ontario Concert Hall at 1 Summers Lane. This famous ballet will take you on the adventure of a lifetime into the enchanted Land of Sweets, where the Nutcracker comes to life. The Ballet Jorgen’s production also features a Canadian twist, showcasing Mounties, lumberjacks, and many more unique characters. It’s a family favourite not to miss! Ticket prices and availability can be found on the First Ontario Concert Hall website.
The North Pole Expo
If you can’t make the Craftadian market, don’t fret! On December 8th, Carmen’s Banquet Centre turns into a holiday fair with 114 talented vendors showcasing all the best local talent that our city has to offer. This annual holiday market will be on Santa’s tour, so be sure to bring the kids to get their pictures taken with old Saint Nick along with his friends the Grinch and Hijo the Arctic Wolf. There will also be professional family photos available and some amazing prices as part of the raffle. Tickets are $5 per person with kids under 12 for free.
Victorian Christmas
This distinct Hamilton holiday tradition is one the whole family will enjoy. Come and see the Castle fully decorated in Victorian décor with dried flowers, holiday ribbons, and beautiful cedar bouquets. The Victorian Christmas will be held this year on Tuesdays to Sundays from November 23rd to December 29th at the Dundurn National Historic Site. You can buy tickets online or at the door. A family pass for $32 is also available.
Hamilton Santa Claus Parade
Every year Santa, Mrs. Claus, the reindeers, and his elves come to visit Hamilton. From Queen and Main to Bay Street, this thirty-minute parade features floating stages, festive bands, carolers and much more. This year’s parade is set to take place on November 16th but be sure to check the city’s websites to confirm the date, so you don’t miss out.
