Artfest Ontario
This annual artfest takes place every year in the historic Distillery District in Toronto. Here you can find some of Canada’s most talented artists and artisans showcasing their work. Spend your time browsing, interact with local artists, and get inspired to create your own works of art. This takes places during the Victoria Day Weekend from May 18th – 20th and during the Labour Day weekend from August 30th – Sept 2nd.
Art In The Park In Stratford
This eclectic art show is one of the oldest in Canada and has been showcasing Canadian talent for more than 40 years. You can find top-quality products here, from photography and sculptures to jewellery and clay, to leather and printmaking and more. This takes place on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, 10:00am – 5:00pm from May 19th until the last Sunday in September.
Elora Centre For The Arts Outdoor Festival
Elora may be renowned for its stunning conservation area and the Elora Gorge, but it’s also popular for its art scene. Held on the historic grounds of the Elora Centre for the Arts, this outdoor festival features a variety of exhibitors, workshops, demonstrations and even live music that the whole family will enjoy. This kicks off on July 6th to July 7th from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
James Street Super Crawl
Get out and embrace the art scene in Hamilton at the James Street Super Crawl. This massive festival closes off 8 blocks, from King Street all the way down to the waterfront, attracting over 200, 000 visitors. It promotes everything related to arts and culture, such as art installations, theatre, independent music, fashion and apparel, buskers, and so much more. This runs from Sept 13th -15th.
Artfest In Waterdown
For the past three years, Waterdown has been home to Artfest which has grown fast over the years. It attracted over 40,000 visitors last year from across the GTA and even New York City. This festival celebrates all things artistic. You can enjoy theatrical performances and free concerts from Juno award winners, artists in action like Alfred the Blacksmith, traditional glasswork, bookbinding, drum making, artisan vendors and more. Admission is free and runs June 21st, 22nd, & 23rd rain or shine.
