On October 26th and October 27th, CLV Group and InterRent REIT hosted packing parties in Montréal, Burlington and Ottawa in support of Operation Christmas Child.
Operation Christmas Child, in conjunction with Samaritans Purse, sends shoeboxes filled with gifts and essential supplies for young children in war-torn or underdeveloped countries. As the largest children’s Christmas program in the world, they reach over 100 countries and deliver millions of boxes each year. Children around the world open their very first Christmas presents every year through this program.
Staff from all regions came together in their regional offices to pack up boxes for the organization and had fun while doing it. Friends and family of staff were encouraged to join the Halloween-themed afternoon of fun. Kids and parents were encouraged to wear costumes, play games and get their faces painted.
Volunteers were assigned a child anywhere between the ages of 2 – 14. All boxes received essentials such as pencil crayons, erasers, and sharpers, all provided by CLV Group and InterRent.
Volunteers were encouraged to donate additional items such as toothbrushes, games, toys, clothes and other unique and kid-friendly items to top up the boxes.
Together, we were able to pack a grand total of 69 boxes to support children around the world.
Thank you to all staff and family and friends of staff for helping us bring Christmas joy to children around the world while celebrating a Halloween-themed afternoon of fun and games.
