Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival | September 1st – 3rd
This year marks the 31st edition of Canada’s largest balloon festival! With over 300 shows to watch and 200 000 spectators attending, you certainly won’t want to miss seeing all sorts of hot air balloons fill the Gatineau sky.
CityFolk Festival | September 12th – 16th
Located in the heart of Ottawa, this family friendly and community oriented festival spans four days and features an eclectic mix of musical performances, as well as artisan and craft vendors! This year’s headliners include Hozier, Nick Murphy (Chet Faker) and Janis Ian.
Taste of Wellington West | September 15th
Spend the day in the beautiful Hintonburg community as restaurants and shops along Wellington Street West offer free samples, sales and raffles! There will be an all-day sidewalk sale, performers, a showing of Ratatouille at Parkdale Park and more. All proceeds are going to the Parkdale Food Centre!
Carp Fair | September 20th – 23rd
Bring the whole family for a day of fun out in the country at the Carp Fair. Live music, rides, magic shows and a petting zoo are just some of the activities to enjoy.
Canada Army Run | September 23rd
Register for the 5K, 10K and Half-Marathon races and support the Canadian Armed Forces! The Canada Army Run is about Canadians and the Canadian Armed Forces joining together in the spirit of camaraderie and community.
Ottawa International Animation Festival | September 26th – 30th
Every September, Ottawa hosts North America’s largest animation festival. Experience 5 eventful days filled with the world’s most innovative, unique and important animations, indie workshops and celebrations.
