West Hamilton Artists Tour – Breadalbane St.

It’s no secret that Hamilton is home to a vibrant fine arts community, and if it’s local culture mom is after, there’s no better way to spend the day than participating in the West Hamilton Arts Tour. The tour is a FREE event that happens annually on mother’s day weekend, featuring Hamilton artists working in several mediums in locations around the Locke Street and Strathcona neighbourhoods.

Tea & Beer: High Tea Like You’ve Never Experienced – MERIT Brewery, 107 James St. N

On Sunday, May 13th MERIT presents a special flight of four tea-influenced beers with a guided tasting and accompanying sweet and savoury snacks. If mom is up for an adventure this year, MERIT brewery’s tea & beer event is the perfect way to celebrate your special relationship.

Mum’s Day Service – The Art Gallery of Hamilton, 123 King St. W

This event will be an afternoon spent honouring mothers in every way! Bring your mom out to the Gallery, and enjoy a selection of refreshments, as well as performances of spoken word poetry and live music.

Here’s to MOM! Concert – Lutheran Church of Canada, 104 Hughson St. N

If mom is a lover of classical music, treat her to this wonderful afternoon of music from the 18th & 19th centuries, performed by pianist Erika Beiman & flutist Sara Traficante. Stop by the St. Johns Lutheran Church between 10AM and 3PM to take in the fantastic local talent.

Mother’s Day Gourmet Paint Nite – The Bean Bar, 1012 King St. W

This event is the perfect opportunity to create colourful memories with mom! A ticket includes all the supplies you need to create your work of art, as well as a gourmet plated dinner prepared by The Bean Bar’s top chefs. With guidance from professional artists who lead the painting session, no experience is necessary and beginners are welcome.

Mom n’ Me Afternoon Tea – Crock-A-Doodle, 2247 Rymal Rd. E

A one-of-a-kind experience for Moms of every generation! Crock-A-Doodle pottery studio in Stoney Creek is hosting a mother’s day event for you and mom to sculpt and paint while complimentary tea and treats are served. At the end of the afternoon, you get to take the pottery pieces you create home, so you’ll always have something to remember your special day together.
