Celebrate Canada Day at Bayfront Park

What better way to start your summer and the Canada 150 celebrations off than with a bang? Head out to celebrate Canada day like never before. You can expect family-friendly fun, food trucks to indulge in, and a spectacular line-up of live music presented by RBC with Canadian artists to sing and tap along to. Of course, it all concludes with an eye-popping firework display set to an orchestral arrangement to enjoy.
Air Force Day at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum
July 8th, 2017 9am to 5pm
If you have a love for aviation and Canadian heritage, this event is for you. Come out and indulge in the past, present and future of Canadian Warplane aircrafts, up close and personal. From helicopters to the CF-18 Hornet and Vimy flight biplanes – there’s so much to check out.
Peace by Piece – Stitching Together Canadian Stories at the Cotton factory
July 10th 2017 to Aug 16th 2017 10am to 6pm
Throughout July and August, you can experience The Quilt of Belonging exhibit at the creative arts centre of Hamilton. The Quilt exhibit project highlights Canada’s diversity and celebrates the compassion among people. The Cotton Factory will also be host to workshops, talks, concerts and demonstrations from museums, artists, craftsmen and musicians to help engage our Canadian spirit.
Free Tall Ship Deck Tours at Pier 8
July 1st, 2017 11am to 5pm
On July 1st, bring out the family to explore historic Tall ships at the pier. The Tall Ship Regatta will kick off on June 30th with a Parade of Sail, but the free Deck tours are happening July 1st. These majestic structures were a popular hit last summer, so be sure to get down early as it’s first come first serve for free tours.
