In honour of Earth Day on April 22nd, we have put together some tips for how you can go green in your CLV Group apartment.
Compost
Although composting in an apartment can have its challenges, your city may have a program to help you out. Reach out to your city to see how you can get involved.
Regrow Vegetables and Herbs
Your balcony is a great place to grow vegetables and herbs. If you don’t have a balcony, there are many vegetables and herbs that can be grown indoors. Growing vegetables from food waste is a great lesson for kids and also makes great science experiments.
Energy Efficiency
Recycle what you can, use your machines wisely (best time is after 7pm – check out an electricity cost calculator here), and be smart with your heating and cooling. Keep your apartment a few degrees cooler than you usually have it in the winter, and a few degrees warmer in the summer. These little tweaks are small enough to not affect or change the way you live, but are a good step in the eco-friendly direction!
Walk
Make the most of your apartment lifestyle and inner city location! CLV Group apartments are located in areas that allow you to have easy access to nearby shops, restaurants, amenities, etc. Skip driving when you can and catch some fresh air.
There is so much that you can do to be eco-friendly when living in an apartment. Get creative and think GREEN in any way you can, and hopefully the things you do today will become lifelong habits.
